Next week, more specific on December 21st, the luxury concept store Dover Street Market will be opened in Kips bay, New York. The store, which is created by Rei Kawakubo who is the director behind fashion brand Comme des Garçons, is originally launched in London and later opened up it’s doors in Tokyo in 2006. Prada is taking over the whole top floor as a permanent residence in the anticipated seven-level store. And in honor of the event the market will feature Miuccia Prada’s first-ever collaboration, which she created especially to celebrate the store’s opening. The capsule collection which consists of 12 pieces includes knitted skirts and sweaters, parkas, handbags and sports shoes. Other brands that will be available at Dover Street Market in New York are Saint Laurent, APC, Jil Sander, Alexander Wang Rick Owens and Commes des Garçons among many.
